As part of the nationwide Queen’s platinum Jubilee celebrations, On Sunday 5th June All Saints Church Hollingbourne plan to mark the Queen’s Jubilee with a special service.
Service time 11am.
It will be a simple service of favourite and national hymns, readings and a short reflection on her Majesty the Queen.
There will be refreshments after the service and the Culpeper embroidery will also be available for viewing.
The reverend would also like to say
Thanks so much to all those who have offered items for the church tombola stall which we are running at the Hollingbourne fete. If anybody else has anything they would like to donate, items will be gratefully received.
Viewing of the Culpepper embroidery is highly recommended, a 17th-century embroidery on velvet associated with the Culpeper family, thought previously to have been an alter cloth, but now believed to be a funeral pall, the embroidery is kept in the Vestry which is usually closed to the public.
