Ash Dieback – tree management along the Hollingbourne Downs – week commencing 8th April 2024

Works are taking place upon the trees along the Hollingbourne Downs over the next few weeks.  The works are required because of the ‘Ash Dieback’ disease.  Unfortunately, this often means that the tree needs to be removed to prevent the spread of the disease.

The Parish Council, and the villagers, have been advised by a resident farmer, of the following information:

Dear Parish  Council

Hope all is well in Hollingbourne.

We are having to manage some of the Ash Dieback along the downs above Hollingbourne.

We have all the right permission from the different organizations.

Just in case the general public have any concerns, you will be aware of the works.

This could take place over several months during the next couple of years.

If you need to see any of the official paper work please feel free to let us know

and we can forward it.

Kind regards

If you want to see any of the farmer’s official paper work, please contact the Clerk on pchollingbourne@gmail.com , who will forward your details onto the farmer.
