Garden waste collections
Due to the ongoing HGV driver shortage all collections are under extreme pressure, as a result MBC have had to cancel some garden waste collections this week, the areas affected are as follows:
Monday 27th September 2021
Yalding
Nettlestead
Paddock Wood
Tuesday 28th September 2021
Central Maidstone (including York Road, Holtye Crescent, South Park Road, Cranborne Avenue, Plains Avenue, Park Way and Sutton Road)
Thursday 30th September 2021
Harrietsham
Hollingbourne
Due to the driver shortage, we will be unable to return for these bins. The affected areas will be prioritised on the next scheduled collection. If your area is not mentioned above, it has been operated as normal.
At the current time we have not cancelled any individual round twice and all cancellations have been prioritised at the next cycle.
The driver shortage issue is not resolved therefore we will not consider extending resident accounts until later in the year, delaying that decision will allow us to take account of service provision over a longer period of time.
