Nigel Fry, former Hollingbourne Vicar, has sadly passed away

Nigel Fry, who was the vicar at the Hollingbourne Church has sadly passed away this week from Covid.

Nigel, who retired in April 2015 as the priest in charge in Hollingbourne was well loved in the parish and contributed greatly to the local community over his many years here.

Nigel showed his sense of humour as well as his love of all animals during his tenure as he blessed pet hamsters and held a service open to all animals.

The vicars wife’s funeral in 2015 in St Mary’s Church Lenham, required an extra 300 chairs to be bought in as she was so popular within the parish and the Vicar’s will likely need the same.

After retiring and moving to nearby Lenham Nigel was due to remarry in July with his new partner Julia who we wish to express our sincerest regrets to.

We will share details of the funeral when arranged.
