MBC will be taking part in the Day of Reflection on Sunday 9 March 2025 as a commemoration to those who lost their lives and were impacted by Covid-19.
MBC is planting 633 trees to commemorate the number of people who sadly lost their lives in the borough Maidstone as a result of the pandemic. The trees will be a mix of native species including Oak, Silver Birch, Hawthorn, Field Maple and Guelder Rose.
The trees will be planted at in a variety locations across Maidstone, creating tranquil spaces where people can stop, remember and take time to reflect on the impacts of the pandemic, as well as the extraordinary kindness shown during this time.
