Have you ever visited the Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway events? If so, you will know that they are very enjoyable for all ages, and it is a true family day out. Amongst all of the smiling faces, visitors gaze in awe at the amazing steam trains and watch with intrigue the model railway, with its quirky goings on…
Take your seat on the train and enjoy the ride along the tracks. The sights and smells of railway travel in times past will enthrall and captivate you, it’s wonderful!

A lot has been happening at the railway over the last few weeks and this Sunday (4th September 2022) is the tractor and agricultural day, were the team are expecting a lot of different tractors to join in.
On-line discounted tickets with children go FREE available at https://bwlr.co.uk/tickets-online. On-line tickets close at 11pm on Friday 2nd September, so book quickly.
In addition to the three steam trains the Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway have tractor/trailer rides, the model railway and lots of things to see.
Future dates for the diary
Gala day is Sunday 2nd October when we expect 6 of our steam locos to be working alongside at least one visiting Locomotive. Goods trains and passenger services will run.
Sunday 30th October – Halloween. Lots of spooky things on and off the train.
Father Christmas is coming to the railway. Dates and tickets will be available very soon.
Diesel train Wednesdays will continue throughout October.
